my Katie
One of my best friends was diagnosed with leukemia. I’m really worried about her. All I wanna do is go see her, but I am four and a half hours away from home and I have midterms this week. Katie, I love you.
movie in class
So in my Hurston class we are watching “Their Eyes Were Watching God.” It took all my strength not to go off on a rant about how I hate Oprah when the film started. HOW DARE SHE IGNORE HANSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How DARE she!
the fish tank
apparently my stepdad (who i do not get along with at all) wants my fish’s new tank to be a surprise for me when i go home this friday. that was a surprise right there. i’m just happy i got one! and my fish is already in love with his new tank! (my mom put him in it and she said he was above the moon in happiness.)

My fish got a brand new aquarium this morning. He’s been in the same one for four and a half years and he deserves a new one. He’s gonna love it!!!! I get to put him in it next weekend when I go home for spring break!!!!!!!

dangerous minds
So I got distracted from my paper because “Dangerous Minds” is on VH1. I know I have the DVD, but I LOVE this movie. It inspired me to be a teacher. The scene where she has dinner with her student makes me cry every time. I hope I make an impact like that with my students.
